Volunteer Park Conservatory

For three weeks this winter I lived in Seattle in Capitol Hill enjoying the ocean and mountain views, exploring all the magic the city had to offer.  Our apartment was near Volunteer Park and I loved walking there, going up the old brick water tower to see a 360 view of the city, and walking along the paths of the park.  One day we found the beautiful Volunteer Park Conservatory but had no money to enter.  I returned on a later date, curious what was inside.  (It ended up being free when I returned.  There is free admission on the first Friday and Saturday of each month!  Usually only $4 to enter for adults.)

All of a sudden I was in this tropical paradise in January.  It was so incredible.  Plants and flowers are some of my biggest inspirations, their wild patterns and lines, the crazy color combinations and hues.  Room after room provided new amazement.  If you have the chance to be in Seattle, definitely pay the Conservatory a visit.  If not, browse through here and let the bold colors warm you up!
